Patrick J. Martin
Chairman since 2000
Patrick Martin was elected chairman, president and chief
executive officer of StorageTek in July 2000. Prior to joining
StorageTek, Martin spent 23 years with Xerox Corp. where he
was a corporate senior vice president. Most recently he was
president of the North American Solutions Group (NASG), Xerox's
largest marketing operation, with responsibility for $8 billion
in annual revenue. Martin also served as president of Xerox's
largest business division, the Office Document Products Division,
with worldwide revenue in excess of $8 billion. Martin
holds an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Iona College
(New York state). He is a graduate of the Harvard University
executive education program PMD, and holds both a Master of
Science and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from George
Washington University.
James R. Adams
Director since 1999
James Adams served as chairman of Texas Instruments, a semiconductor
company and designer and supplier of digital signal processing
and analog technologies, from 1996 to 1998. In 1995 and 1996
he was a private investor. From 1992 to 1995, Adams served
as group president, SBC Communications; from 1988 to 1992,
he served as president and CEO of Southwestern Bell Telephone.
Adams is also a director of Texas Instruments, Prodigy Communications
Corp. and Inet Technologies.
Charles E. Foster
Director since 2002
Charles Foster serves as a director for the McNay Art Museum,
and is a former director of the Texas Research Park Foundation.
Foster is the retired chairman of the board, president and
chief executive officer of Prodigy Communications Corporation
where he served from 2000 to 2001. He also served as group
president, National Operations of SBC Communications Inc.
from 1995 to 2000. Foster serves on the board of directors
for Amdocs Limited, a software company, as well as on the
advisory boards of Chase Bank of Texas and the Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation.
Mercedes Johnson
Director since 2004
Mostly recently, Mercedes Johnson served seven years as senior vice president and
CFO of Lam Research Corporation, a company that designs, manufactures markets and services
semiconductor-processing equipment. Prior to joining Lam, Johnson spent 10 years at Applied
Materials where she was vice president and worldwide operations controller. Johnson has also
held senior finance positions with companies such as NCR and Hewlett-Packard. Johnson holds a
master's degree in accounting from the University of Buenos Aires.
William J. Kerr
Director since 1998
William Kerr is chairman and chief executive officer of Meredith
Corporation, a media and marketing company. From January 1997
to January 1998, Kerr served as president and chief executive
officer of the Meredith Corporation, and from 1994 to 1997,
he served as president and chief operating officer. Kerr is
also a director of Meredith Corporation and of Principal Mutual
Life Insurance Company.
Robert E. Lee
Director since 1989
Robert Lee is currently the executive director emeritus of
the Denver Foundation, a community foundation. He served as
executive director from 1989 to 1996. Until his retirement
in 1989, Lee was the chairman of First Interstate Bank of
Denver. Lee also serves as a director of ING Group North American
Insurance, Inc.; Meredith Corporation; and Source Capital
Corporation.
Judy Odom
Director since 2003
Judy Odom's professional experience includes nearly 20 years at Software Spectrum Inc., a global provider of personal computer business software to large organizations. During her tenure at Software Spectrum, Odom served as chairman and CEO. Before her term as CEO, she served as vice president and treasurer at Software Spectrum. Prior to co-founding Software Spectrum, Odom was a partner with Grant Thornton. Odom currently sits on the board of directors for Leggett & Platt Inc. and Harte-Hanks Inc. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Texas Tech University.
